Enrichment Instructor (Ultimate Frisbee)

The Associated Recreation Council (ARC) is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Enrichment Instructor to teach an Ultimate Frisbee class in our after-school program at Daniel Bagley Elementary School (Green Lake Community Center). Our programs provide safe, engaging and educational after-school opportunities to elementary age youth in a culturally and ethnically diverse setting.

The Enrichment Instructor will be responsible for teaching a Ultimate Frisbee course to class participants. We will provide training and resources to support you in delivering a variety of curricula but knowledge in all classes listed above is not required. The instructor must have the ability to engage with a diverse group of children and manage a classroom of students. Creativity, patience, and a love for instruction are a must!


Pay Rate: $20-$30 Hourly (5-15 hours/week)

Location: Daniel Bagley Elementary School (Green Lake Community Center)


  • Wednesdays from 3:00pm – 5:00pm (subject to change based on program needs)
  • Starting April 16, 2018 - June 15, 2018


  • Engage and manage a classroom of 10-18 children;
  • Instruct after school recreation and enrichment classes;
  • Build strong relationships with school staff, community center staff, instructors and parents by managing daily attendance sheets and communication with community center partners;
  • Must be willing to complete training for certification in first aid/CPR, food handlers permit, HIV/AIDS blood-borne pathogens education, and STARS training;
  • May have opportunities to gain additional hours by covering at other program sites as needed (school-age child care, preschool, teen), including working extended hours during break camps and summer months;
  • Other duties as assigned by Enrichment Program Administrator and community center staff. *


  • Eighteen years of age or older;
  • Ability to work well and communicate with a diverse group of children with varying abilities and their parents;
  • Ability to plan age-appropriate, culturally appropriate and engaging activities;
  • Strong K-5 grade behavioral management skills;
  • Ability to travel to multiple schools.
  • At least one year experience working with youth in a recreation setting or childcare setting;
  • Valid Washington state driver’s license or state ID
  • Must pass criminal background check;
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and valid government issued ID;
  • Must sign up for direct deposit with either checking or savings account;
  • Clear tuberculosis results within the past year;
  • Current first Aid, CPR, and food handlers permit or willingness to get certified*
