Piano Instructor (International District/Chinatown)

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is recruiting for a Piano Instructor. The Piano Instructor is responsible for teaching weekly private 30-minute lessons to beginner, intermediate, and advanced students from ages 5 - 18 years old. The lesson plans include a balance of theory, ear training, sight reading, and repertoire appropriate to the student's level, and musical ability. Previous experience creating curriculum and planning piano lesson plans is preferred. 


Location: International District/Chinatown Community Center

Schedule: Fridays from 3:00pm - 9:00pm 

Start date:  Friday, June 1, 2018 

Pay range:  $20 - $25 Hourly DOE 



  • Over 21 years of age 
  • Experience teaching piano or music teaching experiance to various age groups
  • Ablity to communicate fluently in Cantonese or Mandarin preferred 
  • Must have First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to attain
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and valid photo ID
  • Must sign up for direct deposit with either checking or savings account or Payroll Paycard


This is a part-time, non-benefited position.
