Youth Pottery Instructor

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is recruiting for a Youth Pottery Instructor. The Youth Pottery Instructor will be responsible for guiding youth through various art projects. Participants will learn different hand building techniques including coil, slab, and pinch pots. The instructor will also teach participants how to use the pottery wheel to make table ware with surface decorations. Previous experience creating curriculum and planning pottery lesson plans is preferred. 


Location:  Jefferson Community Center

Schedule: Thursdays from 4:30pm - 5:45pm

Start date:  ASAP

End date:  On going 

Pay range:  $18 - $20 Hourly DOE 



  • Over 21 years of age 
  • Experience teaching pottery classes to various age groups
  • Experience build lesson plans, lead and managing a classroom of participants
  • Must have First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to attain
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and valid photo ID
  • Must sign up for direct deposit with either checking or savings account or Payroll Paycard


This is a part-time, non-benefited position.
