Preschool Activity Camp Instructor

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is looking for a Preschool Activity Camp Instructor to teach "My First Summer Camp" at the Rainier Community Center.

 

The Preschool Activity Camp Instructor will be responsible for teaching kids ages 3-5 years old about various camping activities. The instructor will be responsible for incorporating sports, games, story time, and arts & crafts related to camping. As well as building strong relationships with participants, staff and partners. This person will be expected to plan fun, culturally appropriate and engaging activities. Creativity, patience, and a love for camping are a must!

 

Location: Rainier Community Center

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 12:00pm, up to 20 hours per week

Start date: Monday, July 16, 2018

End date: Friday, August 31, 2018

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $24.00 Hourly DOE

 

Requirements:

  • Three or more years of experience teaching and leading outdoor/indoor camping activities
  • Over 21 years of age
  • Ability to work with kids 3-5 years old
  • Ability to plan and lead lessons plans
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and valid government issued ID

 

This is a part-time, summer non-benefited position.
