Summer Bike Camp Instructor

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is recruiting a Summer Bike Camp Instructor to work at the Alki Community Center. The Summer Bike Camp Instructor will be responsible for teaching safe riding techniques, mechanical skills and road knowledge through hands-on experience. The instructor will work with beginning and intermediate bike riders ages 7-12 years old. Additionally, the instructor will create a fun and engaging curriculum based around bike riding and bike safety.


Location:  Alki Community Center

Schedule: Monday Friday from 9:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 4:00pm

Camp Dates: 

  • July 2 - 6, 2018 (no camp July 4th)
  • August 13 - 17, 2018

End date: Friday, August 17, 2018

Pay range: $16.00 - $19.00 Hourly DOE



  • Over 18 years of age
  • Experience working with children ages 7-12
  • Experience developing and teaching bike riding techniques 
  • Ability to plan age-appropriate activities, work well and communicate well with children
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aide Certification 
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and valid government issued ID
  • Must sign up for direct deposit with either checking or savings account or Payroll Paycard

This is a part-time, non-benefited position.
