Summer Camp Clay Instructor (Magnuson and Miller)

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is recruiting for a Summer Clay Camp Instructor. The Summer Clay Camp Instructor will be responsible for planning and leading a clay camp for various age groups. The summer clay camp instructor will teach campers various pottery techniques including wedging, hand-building, pottery wheeling, glazing, and firing. Previous experience creating curriculum and planning clay lesson plans is preferred. 


Location: Magnuson and Miller Community Center (Must be able to commute to both sites)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, various mornings and afternoons 

Start date: Monday, June 25, 2018

End date: Saturdays, September 1, 2018 

Pay range: $20 Hourly 



  • Over 21 years of age 
  • Experience teaching clay classes to various age groups
  • Experience build lesson plans, lead and managing a classroom of participants
  • Must have First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to attain
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and valid photo ID
  • Must sign up for direct deposit with either checking or savings account or Payroll Paycard


This is a part-time, non-benefited position.
