In Memory of Brenna Clausen

Brenna Clausen worked with Seattle Parks and Recreation and Associated Recreation Council in many capacities from 2000-2021. Starting as an intermittent lifeguard at Meadowbrook Pool in 2000 at age 16, she moved to various positions at the Meadowbrook, Garfield, Montlake, and then Bitter Lake Community Centers. She was promoted to Recreation Center Coordinator at International District/Chinatown CC in 2016 where she worked until 2021. She has been a part of many communities and added positivity and brightness to her work and the lives of those around her.

Brenna made it known that her professional aspirations were to contribute to the lives of ethnic minorities in her community and throughout the state of Washington. In her long SPR career, she was able to touch many hearts and affect change with her genuineness and willing spirit. We will miss her profoundly and know the communities she has touched will as well.

As we remember the beautiful person Brenna was, we wanted to create an opportunity to support the programs that meant so much to her. Your donation in memory of Brenna will go directly to the International District/Chinatown Community Center to support programs, activities, and scholarships.
