Free Virtual Recreation Programs: how to stay engaged while staying home

Even though our in-person programs have been cancelled through June, we still have multiple virtual resources available so you can stay active, healthy, and creative. Here are a few free online classes and programs that can be easily done from home.

ASL with Kat

Always wanted to learn a new language or try a new skill, but never had the time? Follow along with Kat and learn how to communicate in American Sign Language! Lessons are posted on the Specialized Programs’ Facebook page.

Movement Break

Hosted by: Specialized Programs

These movement breaks are released every Friday until in-person programming resumes. You can follow along the first episode – a mindfulness break where participants can meditate and enjoy poetry from Glee and Drama.

Moving Minds LLC

Keep your kids healthy, active, and busy with online dance classes! Sessions are hosted every weekday on Instagram Live at 4 p.m. PST. If you are unable to attend the live sessions, all past videos are available on their website.

South Park Beats

Hosted by: Teen Late Night

This virtual program is for beginner producers and DJs ages 13-19. Working with a variety of modern music genres like hip hop and EDM, students will learn the basics of music theory, how to flip a sample, and inexpensive recording techniques to start creating their own music at home.
