In light of the Trump Administration’s executive order allowing federal immigration authorities to conduct enforcement in schools and other childcare areas, ARC has prepared a Policies & Procedures document for our childcare and recreation staff to review.
All students and families are welcome at ARC, regardless of immigration status. This document outlines what steps to take if an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent arrives at ARC work site.

Additionally, below is a list of external resources for any additional review you might want or need:
- Know Your Rights NWIRP: A list of resources for people to understand their rights when interacting with various law enforcement agencies from the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project. Additionally, this Two Page Flyer Link summarizes the resources on the page.
- Immigrant Rights ACLU: Further information on Immigrant Rights from the ACLU.
- American Federation of Teachers Protecting Our Students: More know your rights content aimed at teachers and educators specifically.
- Immigrant Legal Resource Center: A know your rights toolkit that includes preparedness plans, handouts, educational videos, and a directory of support providers.
- Seattle Legal Defense Network: A resource that connects people to immigration legal services even if they may not be able to pay for them.
