This month when you visit your local Safeway in Ballard or Crown Hill, you will see signs about the Nourishing Neighbors fundraiser and get the chance to donate at checkout. Here’s a not-so-well-kept secret: Associated Recreation Council will receive those donations!
We are excited that these Safeway location chose ARC as a charity partner for this campaign. Every dollar donated at checkout will go directly to our organization. We will use the funds to provide breakfast for children that are part of our all-day childcare programs for working families.
Nourishing Neighbors is a charitable program of Safeway with the aim of fighting hunger in the communities they serve. The September giving campaign is focused on raising funds to ensure that every child in our neighborhood has access to a healthy breakfast.
Please stop by the Ballard and/or Crown Hill Safeway and donate to the Nourishing Neighbors campaign from Sept. 1 through Sept. 30. Our kids will thank you.
