About Fund the Fun:

Fund the Fun is a free community breakfast ARC began hosting in 2019 to raise funds for youth sports and recreation scholarships for families in our community. Over the last five years, we’ve raised over $213,000 and in 2023 alone, we raised over $62,000.

This year, we’re raising funds for the Swim Seattle initiative launched by Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell last April. According to Mayor Harrell, “Programs like this will help every child, from every neighborhood, access opportunities to learn and grow, promising a safer future for our entire city.” You can read more about the Swim Seattle initiative in this press release.

Join us to build support for this life-saving initiative to make our children and our community safer!

What is Swim Seattle?

Swim Seattle is a drowning prevention and free swim education program championed by Mayor Harrell. This initiative combines the efforts of Seattle Parks & Recreation, Associated Recreation Council and other partners to remove barriers to learning to swim and to eradicate disproportionate drownings among youth of color.
