The Human Resources Coordinator with the Associated Recreation Council administers a variety of human resources activities and programs, including those related to compensation, benefits, workplace safety, and HRIS Administration. The coordinator answers employee questions about human resources matters such as training, insurance, payroll, retirement plans, hiring procedures and company policy; referrals are made to the appropriate HR team member when necessary. The job also includes managing all the new hire orientations, licensing files, human resources events, and employee records.
As the position involves handling employees' personal information, the coordinator is expected to maintain proper security for all employee files and follow privacy procedures always. Understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for the diverse populations at ARC and the community ARC serves.
Pay Rate: $50,000 annually + benefits
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; occassional weekends may be needed
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE
Broad base of business knowledge, as well as human resources expertise. At least 2+ years’ experience in human resources, specifically in data management, employment workflow and familiarity with federal, state, and municipal employment laws. Experience in mid to large size organizations and/or nonprofit environments preferred. Experience in payroll and HR environments. A human resources degree is preferred along with work experience. PHR/SHRM-CP certification desired.
