ARC
About Us
Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR), serves every neighborhood in Seattle by supporting the city’s childcare services, recreational programming, various activities and events, and much more.

About The
Associated Recreation Council
ARC, incorporated in 1975 as an independent non-profit, achieves amazing results through our Board of Directors, volunteers, and employees. While our Board of Directors is committed to the mission and programs of ARC as a whole, our Advisory Council volunteers support the work of specific community centers and goals that are important to the city of Seattle. All Board Members, Advisory Council Members, and employees help to enhance the mission and vision of SPR by providing a connection to the community and advocating for the success of citywide recreation services.

Strategic Plan
ARC’s three-year strategic plan positions us to meet the evolving needs of our communities while transforming internal processes to prioritize people, improve efficiencies, and enhance internal and external collaboration. Finalized in early 2025, ARC staff is actively developing tactics and enacting this plan in our everyday work. We are so excited to share our organizational goals as we begin our next 50 years as a non-profit!
Impact Reports
Our annual Impact Report summarizes our yearly work as a non-profit, from broad organizational highlights to financial and donor information. Read 2023’s Impact Report to see all of the work we’ve accomplished thanks to our donors, volunteers, and community partners!
