Citywide Youth Advisory Council

Seattle teens, 13 - 19 years old, do you want to make a positive impact on your city?!

The Associated Recreation Council (ARC), non-profit partner to Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR), has established a youth-led Citywide Advisory Council. The Youth Advisory Council joins the existing advisory council system comprised of 36 adult-led advisory councils across Seattle.

The council is made up of 15 Seattle teens from all over the city who are chosen to represent the voice of their community, advise on ARC, SPR, and City initiatives, and enhance programming opportunities for youth. Youth council members represent Seattle City Council districts and their neighborhoods-at-large.

Youth Advisory Council members also have opportunities to work with key stakeholders such as the ARC Advisory Councils, ARC Board of Directors, SPR leadership, Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners, Seattle Park District Board, and the Deputy Mayor’s Office.
